stuck out more than a palm tree amongst evergreens. Still, it was a beautiful clock. It matched the rest of Twilight decor so well, Cadence would have swore it was blended in.
But then she asked herself, aloud, “How long have I been looking at this thing?”
Long enough to have a grasp of time, she believed. The sun was almost at its peak—closing in on noon hour—and she knew the day Shining Armour, Twilight, and herself had planned was about to come to fruition. It wasn’t often the four of them spent quality time together. Wait a second. Four? Well, that didn’t add up. Cadence could’ve sworn…The clock’s persistent ticking were the only sounds she could hear, and it placed her in a trance—disconnecting her from the world; it was amazing to her how a beautiful creation could hypnotize a pony. But when she heard joyful cries coming from downstairs, she was free, realizing it must’ve been Opal Rose, her and Shining Armour’s filly, helping Twilight get the essentials for the day ready.
