The Great Gatsby Vs 1920's

The both movies of the Great Gatsby portrays the way of life and culture of the 1920’s. The 1975 movie explains the story in short but makes up for this by giving the viewer an in depth experience for the 1920’s. The more modern movie portrays the Great Gatsby as a rich young man who is explaining his story to a doctor. In this version the time period is better suited for a modern movie than sticking to the original period (1920’s). After watching both movies I personally favor the 1975 depiction of the Great Gatsby, because it is filmed closer to the actual time period and is more accurate to the film.
