The grinch is not guilty for what he has done. He’s done many bad things but he make it better. Many laws were broken i agree with that. On the other hand he also felt compassion for once therefore he started to care. Also he felt bad for what he did he did and said sorry . Although everyone was pretty mad and sad their Christmas was messed up. His heart grew then he cried plus he told Max he loved him, and that's a surprise. The Grinch is not guilty for the charges that are held against him.

The grinch starts to show love also that he cares. Maybe he did do many bad and mean things. Even though he did things he saved Cidney. Therefore that shows he cares or he is trying to care. Also whenever he started to feel feelings that were nice loving feelings he saves the whovills Christmas presents. Along with saving Cidney for a second time. He should not be charged since he shows compassion and love love. Also he held a huge feast at his own house.

The Grinches heart also grew before he even gave the presents back. Evidence that supports that is that he gives Christmas back. Excellent job on your analysis, there were a lot of interesting points made. However, I believe an archetypal lens best suits this poem because it factors in the ending, characters, and themes. At the end of the poem, the Grinch relinquishes all the stolen goods because he is touched by the spirit of Christmas. Within a Marxist context, the Grinch was stealing in order to abolish the class structure, and to sustain himself.…

A Christmas Carol, written by Charles Dickens, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Suess are very similar. First off, the setting of both stories are related since they take place in small towns and both begin on Christmas Eve and end on Christmas Day. However, the Grinch lived outside of Who-ville while Scrooge lived in his own small town, which is why no one knew of the Grinch and Scrooge’s whole town was familiar with him. This is also a reason why the Grinch strongly despised Christmas and wanted to end it instead of just not celebrating, like Scrooge. The Grinch was very lonely, even with his dog because he was never invited to parties whereas Scrooge was, even though he declined; this shows that Scrooge may not be liked, but at…

As a Marxist, I believe the text undermines the true meaning of the story: “It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight/ It could be his head wasn’t screwed on just right”. This line is referencing that there must be a reason why the Grinch doesn’t like Christmas. The perception that everyone favours Christmas because that’s just the way it is, depicts a false consciousness, at the time.…

The Grinch shows how people can change over time in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". The Narrator states, "And what happened then, Well... In Who-Ville they say that the Grinch's heart grew 3 sizes that day" (Seuss) This shows that the Grinch physically changed through the story and was able to give back the Christmas presents he stole back to all the people from Who-Ville. The narrator states, "The Grinch carved the roast beast" (Seuss) This shows that the Grinch became from going to ruining Christmas for others, to cutting food that describes the Christmas year for people from Who-Ville. Not only has he stopped hating Christmas, but he's…

Certainly, many believe the Grinch’s heart is identical to mine, and when it comes to Christmas, we share uniform emotions. However, the Grinch and I have unalike reasons for despising the season. As told in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, no one truly knows why the Grinch hates the entire Christmas season, but my friends know my reasons for hating the season. Sometimes it’s the stress of gifting, the unbearable runny noses, or occasionally the useless gifts I try my hardest to be thankful for. I’m an exceedingly different individual compared to my friends and family, but I am fond of my unique personality.…

Who can hate Christmas you might ask? As evil and jealousy cross the mind of a mysterious Who, the Grinch has an awful, yet brilliant idea to steal the beloved holiday we know as Christmas. The award-winning movie and book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, has been a classical Christmas time movie since the 1960’s. Written by the author that many kids are familiar with, the famous Dr. Seuss is the mastermind behind this miraculous story. As Ron Howard brings Dr. Seuss’s masterpiece to life by directing each and every scene, the world of Who-Ville is created into a motion picture film. Don Peterman uses his skills as a professional cinematographer to build the setting of the story into a beautiful, winter wonderland. Jim Carrey plays the voice of a green haired Who, whom hates anything and everything about world of Who-Ville, including Christmas. "No one quite knows the reason. It could be perhaps that his shoes were too tight. It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all may have been that his heart was two sizes too small." The Grinch lies at the peak of Mount Crumpit, which looks over the cheerful town of Who-ville, filled with the many caring citizens who are eager for Old Saint Nick to arrive soon. Baffled by the thought of someone hating Christmas, Taylor Momsen plays the role of a curious young girl, Cindy Lou Who, that wants to get to know the humble heart of the Grinch for herself. As she begins to talk to the cold hearted Grinch, he gets the repulsive idea to steal Christmas this year. Dressed up in a raggedy Santa costume, the Grinch sneaks into every home in Who-ville, stealing all their Christmas decorations, the carefully wrapped presents, all the delicious Christmas dinner food, and anything he wishes to take back up the mountain in his proto type sled. Christmas morning soon approaches the town of Who-ville, but the thing is, the Who’s do not mourn about…

In 'A Christmas Carol', Charles Dickens represents Scrooge as an unsympathetic man who is offered the opportunity to redeem himself. Through use of language, the reader is positioned to view him adversely, but during the journey of morality lessons shown by three spirits, Scrooge recovers his sense of joy by undergoing a significant transformation. Scrooge seeks redemption through the many lessons taught by the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.…

In the story A Christmas Carol , my reaction changed towards Scrooge through each stave. In the first opening stave, you felt as if Scrooge was an inconsiderate, horrible man. Throughout the rest of the staves you start to feel bad for Scrooge and almost forgive him. Also his past reflects his personality in the future. This influences my reaction towards Scrooge as Dickens uses contradicting and contrasting techniques. The moral I received was; dickens is trying to convey to the reader is that you can always be forgiven for what you have done in the past.…
