The Heroic Hero Of Odysseus In Homer's The Odyssey

“The Odyssey” , by Homer is an epic poem telling the journey of Odysseus on his way back home to Ithaca. Homer wrote the Odyssey to show how heroic Odysseus is and how he served as a model for all his people. His message to the people was that it takes more than just strength to be a hero. All heroes have different qualities that define them and Odysseus had the traits of a H omeric leader with courage, nobility, strength, and confidence, but his sharp intellect was the most distinguishable trait, especially when he escaped from the cave of Cyclops, showing how his quick thinking skills help him in tough situations.
Odysseus eventually wants to return to his home and admits that his wife doesn't compare with Calypso. He shows the characteristics
