Outline: The Hobbit and How Greed Can Corrupt a Mind
I. Introduction
A. Thesis: The Hobbit clearly depicts how greed can corrupt a mind, or collective consciences, and cause one to become blinded and take risk they normally would refrain from taking.
II. Greed has a corruptive influence and is evident in our conscience, subconscious, and society as a collective conscience.
A. Greed has a corruptive influence and is evident in our conscience actions.
1. We make conscience decisions, with greed being our motivating source, in our everyday lives.
2. Bilbo Baggins makes a conscience decision, fueled by greed, to partake in journey despite his initial reluctance to join the company.
