The Holocaust's Role In World War II
The Holocaust had a tremendous role in World War II. It was a mass murder of six million Jews, Gypsies, and homosexuals. However, the main people who were captured, persecuted, or turned into workers were the Jews. Adolf Hitler, the third reich at the time, thought that the Jews were a subordinate race and a threat to Germany’s racial community. Hitler believed that the other races didn’t harmonize with the Germans.
The Holocaust began in 1933, the idea of the persecution of the Jews happened well before Hitler’s time. It began when the Jews were restricted to go to work or even their own businesses. Eventually, the Jews lost all their rights in Germany. Hitler made laws that contraband love and anything that would make the German race lesser.

Eventually, the concentration camps were abandoned and Jews and other threatened races were forced on a Death March. The Death March was when the inferior races in Hitler’s eyes had to march until they died. If anyone stopped they would be killed. The Jews were not given any food so some died from starvation and disease. The Germans did this because the Soviet Union was well on its way to rescue and go to war. However, Hitler believed that he got rid of all the evidence in the camps. The Soviet Union put the small number of survivors on trains and took them out their misery. Still today, Students from all over are being taught about this historical event in our history classes. Students are still horrified that people were treated terribly because of their religion. This isn’t anything that could be forgotten. However, not because people died, but because we also won the war. Not everyone’s body has been found but we will always have heavy hearts. Reading about the girls that had shaved heads and an abusive life because of their religion makes the girls in this world realize how blessed and how much the world has changed

    The ones who managed to make it out of the Holocaust alive were too afraid to go back to their homes. They set up DP(Displaced Person) camps, and a group called the Jewish Brigade Group was formed.
