The Importance Of Attending The Presidential Welcome
I choose to attend the Presidential Welcome on Wednesday August 24, 2016. This event was a lot easier to attend than the other events because my initiator Mrs. Krasts allowed my class to miss class in order for us to attend the event.
This activity has contributed to my college success by allowing me to know all the important people at Del-Tech.
The things I liked the most about the event was that it was informal and I got to hang out with my friends.
My only suggesting would be that it was more inclusive

On January 20, 1961 John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered one of the powerful inaugural address in the nation’s history. Everyday I am influenced by their leadership and commitment to Van Horn. It’s been difficult because I’ve never had to guide my classmates and ensure that their experience in an activity is positive. As well as making sure they don’t get off topic, which they tend to do on a frequent basis. I hope I have influenced them nearly as much as they have influenced me. Through National Honor Society I have become closer…

As of Tuesday, January 21, 2009, President Barack Obama has proven to me that it is no longer a theory that I can be whatever I aspire to be. President Obama has the desire to see every individual in this nation succeed, and is charismatic enough to draw people together to achieve this goal by running the country, which is a beneficial need for all of us. Yet, President Obama and his wife Michelle have African ancestors like me. They also look like me, sound like me, and understand my experiences as a black American, and this is the point that I believe many black Americans wanted this nation to understand. This is the first time in my life that I feel like an American, and am proud to be an American.…

President John F Kennedy's Inaugural Address, given on January 20, 1961 at the Capitol, was undoubtedly one of the best inaugural speeches ever given. This speech was intended to be heard by all of the citizens of the US, and with over 20,000 in attendance, and many more watching at home on television, he reached much of his targeted audience. I believe he used this speech to inform the citizens of the United States about what he planned to do for the country while in office, as well as to motivate the citizens to come together and work toward a goal of peace and liberty, which is what he hoped to achieve. The speech was very well organized. It seemed to have a flow to it and move easily from one point to the next. He seemed to have prepared…

If you choose to do this, that’s perfectly fine, but why let one person ruin your Notre Dame graduation? In recent months I have thought a lot about what I would do if the University invited a politician I staunchly disagreed with to speak at Commencement. What would I do if I felt that the person speaking discriminated against me as a Catholic, white, male, Second-Amendment-loving American? I arrived at the conclusion that I would still attend Commencement. Don’t let one person alter your decision to attend Commencement. Doing so lets the other person (or group) win. Show Pence and your classmates who support him that you won’t allow yourself to be weak and alienated from such a significant event in your…

The next event I looked at was creative problem solving. Personally, I am not the best at critical thinking skills or problem solving skills, but if I actually attempted it I m sure I could. This even allows you to have 1-3 people. This event also has many different rounds. Round one requires you to take a test, and then if you pass the test or test high you move onto the second round. The second round is where you are given a problem to solve in thirty minutes. When you are all done solving your problem you have ten minutes to present your solution. Considering I am not a good test taker I think I’m going pass up this event.…

Hi, it’s me, Roman. Joining the study group seemed to connect me with the rest of the world! One of the guys in my new study group knew everything there was to know about things happening on and around campus. Within five minutes, he’d given me leads on the best biology tutors, the best time to go to the library, the best instructor to talk to about externships, and even the best place to eat near campus. I did several other things such as hanging out with some of the youth. Only a few were deaf, but most of them knew sign language and it was cool to interact with people my age instead of adults and also to talk about things I like to talk about with people in sign language. I also got to see what it is kind of like being a student and deaf. That is an experience I will not have, but it is refreshing to see what we are blessed with, but we take it for granted everyday.…

After dancing, as a group we go out together into the festival and explore what this event has to offer. We spent most of the day there. It was great to see how well all the cultures adapt together in one setting. Everyone seems to get along so well and it gives the environment such a friendly and happy feel. All the food booths pull you in with the amazing aromas, that make your mouth water. They are set up right next to each other and its like walking through different countries right in Tucson. My favorite foods were the Vietnamese boba slushies and the Greek gyros. I tried to make as much room for all the different foods I wanted to try, but there was just so many it was impossible! This is definitely what keeps me going back every year. The delicious food from the many different…
