The Importance Of Being A Veterinarian
When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian because I want to help animals. I love animals and making sure that they are okay, healthy, and not sick. The person I look up to is Kim Stevens she lives in Altona, she’s a veterinarian, and she is my mom’s friend. Someday I want to work for her because she is a really good vet. I know you have to go to college for eight years which is a lot and you have to work really hard but I KNOW I can do it. When I do get out of college it will be very fun but a lot of hard work and making sure I am paying attention. I want to be just like Kim. She goes on calls all the time which is when you are off duty but then you’re called about and emergency.

First, a career in veterinary technologist and technician would bring me great personal satisfaction. I enjoy working, helping out, and simply being around animals. For example, Julie Legred, a veterinary technician and executive director at the National Association of veterinary technicians in America, says, “We do everything except diagnose, prescribe and do surgery. They often work in private clinics and animal hospitals, assisting veterinarians with the care of animals” ("Veterinary Technologist and Technician"). Without veterinary technologists and technicians,…

Who are veterinary technicians? Many people don't realize that a lot of the work done on animals, is by vet techs, instead of the actually veterinarian. Veterinarians wouldn't be able to do all the things they do throughout the day, without the help of their vet techs. Some say veterinary technicians even do more than the vets do in their daily routines. Veterinary technicians are important to animal clinics, and the community around them.…

Through my late teen years I envisioned living in Santa Monica, California. The warm climate, pet friendly areas, and being on my own were at the top of my list. I would be attending The Academy of Art University located in San Francisco, through online courses, majoring in fashion design. My “backup” passion would be the animal health and rescue field. I had always had a passion for animals, from showing Golden Retrievers and Netherland Dwarf rabbits, to my first official job as a feline caretaker with The Second Chance Humane Society at age thirteen. Upon entering the fashion world, I quickly discovered that I would have extreme difficulty with the stress levels due to competitiveness and the overwhelming…

First be a Veterinarian is probably every kid dream, when you love animals. This dream starts when I was probably 5 years old and keep it on my mind until when I was 15 years old. I remember a program which was about a summer camp, in which many kids travel to other countries and they were little veterinarians. I always dreamed to be able to be in that summer camp but I was not able to realize that dream. For the other side I got my first dog when I was 6 years old. He was my patient when I played to be a veterinarian. This dream is really significant to me because taught me to love animals, to be good with animals, and enjoy my dog when both were little.…
