The Importance Of Being American
Being American means a plethora of different things. Whether it is positive or negative, we are all part of a great country. The US of A gives everyone the freedom of religion, brings people’s dreams to life, but America has its flaws.

In America, you are open to any religion, whether it may be Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, or Christianity. We may have freedom of religion, but in most cases that’s not true. Since 70% of America is Christian, every other religion is dwarfed by that colossal statistic. The upside, though, is you’re not going to get killed because of your religion, which means you can be open about your beliefs. That is why we have millions of legal (and illegal) immigrants move to the USA.

America is like the Disneyworld of the world, because it makes dreams come true. Ever since the settler days, we have been making the dreams of billions come true. We offer endless possibilities for everyone. Everybody can go to school, have a job, and own a house. We aren’t a war zone, so the safety of everyone is almost guaranteed. You can get your master’s degree, get a decent job,

We are racist, fat, lazy, a doomed country in a couple of months, and stupid. Racism hasn’t really gone extinct, despite all of the attempts. Since we have so many machines to do a majority of our jobs, we have grown lazy. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of these “1st World Problems”. We’re pathetic, complaining about the things that are far from troubling. We’re just about the fattest country there is out there. It’s depressing. Americans are also stupid, getting into drugs, crime, and doing redneck-ish things (no offense to those Rednecks, y’all are great, you just do some crazy things). Our country is going to fall apart after November 8th. Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? It doesn’t matter, none of them will help this country out one bit. America isn’t all that it’s cracked up to

When you hear the word "America", what do you think of? Many would associate this word with freedom, home, friendliness, opportunity, or even greatness. The truth of this reality is that America isn't what people imagine it to be. Americans suggest their country is the greatest place in the world but in fact the corruption, debt, lack of public services and the rude behavior of its people makes America come up short of other's expectations. America means a lot of things to me, like freedom, safe, brave, equal, and responsibility. The reason I picked these things is because I think they are all very important to this country. The reason why I picked freedom is because in America, you have the right to do and say whatever you want. For example, the phrase freedom of speech, which means that someone’s right to say something is protected within certain limits. What that means is that someone can say whatever they want, but after you say it, there could be consequences, like someone getting hurt if you yelled “fire” in a place that has a lot of people or if you walked into an airport and yelled “bomb.” You have the right to say that, but if you do, there will be consequences like going to jail or something like that. There is also something called freedom of expression, which means people can behave like they want to and wear what they want to.…

The United States of America is a wonderful country where there is equal opportunities, rights and freedoms, and justice. America’s founding fathers like George Washington saw the potential of America being the greatest country of all. They created the constitution. The constitution created a stronger federal government and gave citizens rights. It wasn’t until 1865 that the United States Constitution ended slavery. America has prospered so much since then and now in the 21st century everyone wants to come to America where there is work and you can live a better life. Sometimes Americans take these rights for granted and end up in prison losing their right of freedom and close all their opportunities. Americans should cherish all their rights. I believe that an American is someone who has liberty, has opportunities to become successful, and can vote.…

Living in America really shows the true meaning of freedom. America is one of the only countries known to give its citizens freedom to do what they want. The Amendments of the Constitution play a major role in what keeps America and its citizens free; without them our society would get nowhere, the amendments act as a guide to keep the citizens safe and fairly treated. They set up all our laws and let every citizen know and understand their rights as a human being. All it takes is one mistake or for you to mess up once and you can get all your freedom and rights taken away from you. Getting in trouble with the law can change everything in the blink of an eye. Once you get put in jail or prison you are then known as property. The government now owns you until you have served your time; the jail or prison can do what ever they want with you without anyone having a say in it, you are no longer considered a citizen. The amount of time you have to serve will depend on how bad the crime you did was. If it was bad enough you may get put in prison for life.…

What are the distinguishing factors of America that make it so different and arguably the greatest country in the world? Some people may say that it is the pursuit of the American Dream, while others may say that it is America’s melting pot of cultures; but these both revolve around one common theme and came about as a result of one ideal: freedom. Our government’s main duty is to protect this freedom at all costs, while striving to represent all people and promoting a sense of unity in the nation. Yet, what happens when the government fails in its endeavors, being persuaded by the elites or ignorant to the desires of everyday people or minority groups? This is where peaceful resistance to laws and protests serves a purpose.…
