Observations and assessments should be completely objective, with no bias, to ensure the full benefit a child needs through his education and development. If a child has a language or cultural difference a trained professional, someone who understands the language or culture, should be the assessor. Bias in observation is easy to do, but could affect the child for the rest of his life. If a child needs special attention the teacher should give him the help he needs because responsible assessment is, above all, about the child and his needs to further his education and development.
