Supported by a study conducted by WorldPublicOpinion.org, in no country did more than twenty nine percent say that media freedom is “not very important” or “not important at all.” Opposition to media censorship is widespread as the action contradicts the promise of freedom of expression. When the government restricts content on the Internet and social networking applications, they are denying artists their right to express themselves. Preferably, the government can take a lighter approach and merely monitor media to maintain the safety of a country. If a country seems to be in danger, the government should intervene, for their purpose is to protect citizens, not to dismiss
