The Importance Of Concentration Camps
The term concentration camp refers to a camp in which people are detained or expelled, usually under harsh conditions and without legal norms of arrest. The first concentration camps in Germany were established soon after Hitler's appointment as chancellor in January 1933. Concentration camp commandants used prisoners as forced laborers for construction projects such as the construction or expansion of the camps themselves. Between 1933 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its allies established more than 40,000 camps and other incarceration sites. They used these camps for purposes like, forced labor, detention of people thought to be enemies of the state, and mass murder. This site gives you valuable information about the concentration camps.
