In ancient Greece when a child is first born it’s up to the father to choose to keep the child or leave it on a mountain to die. Often its either that the child looks weak or sometimes if they are a girl. Once accepted the children lived a gifted life with toys and boys go to school at the age of 7. In ancient Greece homes had a sophisticated design using the outdoors as the centre
of the home. Greek homes had been built up with sun dried mud bricks and coated with a white paint. All houses had a generally large courtyard with a water well. This common design style of Greek homes was built to stay cool in summer and warm in their mild winters. What did ancient Greeks wear and eat:
The ancient Greeks had a diet with bread, wine, cheese, olives, vegetables and fish mostly in the costal islands and regions of Greece. The normal clothing worn by the ancient Greeks was a type of tunic called a chiton. The chiton was a large tunic with an undercoat of a large white tunic, with a colourful sash of fabric for decoration.
