Privacy is important to me because it affected me in many ways throughout my lifetime. In my opinion, privacy means no one can interfere with your rights without your consent. Also being away from other people to spend time alone time with yourself. time because have no trust in me. My mom goes into my room without asking looking through my closet, clothes, and car to see if she can find anything suspicious. I know parents are responsible for their children, but there is time we need our own space and parents shouldn't need to know all the secret from their kids. This makes me feel like I have no right of privacy because my parents are spying on me twenty-four seven. I believe I'm older enough to make my own decision and have the responsibility to take care of myself.
Many celebrities deal with privacy conflicts because they're in the eyes of many people. With all the fans and reporters trying to get their personal background, secrets, and life stories.
Celebrity has no right to privacy because everything they happen in their lives would be spread in a quick second and would be all over social media. If the celebrity is popular they would have less privacy and rights to enjoy due to paparazzi and all the drama they have to handle. There are no charges or harm to paparazzi so people keep doing it by harassing the celebrity personal space by stalking them. I feel like the fans and reporters should respect celebrity's right of privacy because they're normally people like us and should be treated equally. They are being watched for what they do in their everyday life and being judged by foes. I believe the government should start making charges on fans or reporters by taking photos of the celebrity without their consent and posting it on the internet. This has been an issue for a large amount of
time.
In today's modern society, social media is constantly being used by all ages. The rate of users on social media is drastically increasing every year, but there are negative effects which is privacy. Some popular social media sites that need to improve their privacy and security is facebook, twitter, snap chat, gmail chat, and many other sites. . In the article "The New Generation" by Omar Tee, He stated " This new generation of users consists of individuals who post and search for personal, often intimate,.. and are accustomed to their location being tracked" (Tee 15). This quote means when users create accounts on social media they are putting their personal information online where it is public. Everyday users are being hacked thus releasing their personal account for the public such as home address and credit card accounts. It is so easy to found anyone basic information online by searching their full name on google. Being on the internet now is very dangerous for a teenager because of cyberbullying. Random strangers would threaten teens for their personal information like home address and money from their bank accounts. I believe social media has no true privacy.
