The Declaration of Independence was written and created with the purpose of the colonists gaining freedom from Great Britain. The colonists were tired of being taken advantage of with strict laws and crazy taxes. This document was approved on July 4th, 1776. It was hand-written by Thomas Jefferson. The first part explains why it was written, the second part contains how King George has failed as a King and how he has violated them, and finally the third and last part of the Declaration of Independence is the actual Declaration and all of the colonies are said to be the United States of America.…

Freedom is something not a lot of places are fortunate to have, but luckily in America everyone has the right to freedom. What if your freedom was taken away, leaving you helpless? Sadly enough that is how many people feel, and how many people live. Sometimes you have to fight for your freedom no matter what the situation is. Honestly I don’t see any elements to the Constitution in how it can be undemocratic, since each section is designed to uphold the principles of democracy. For example it sets up the government to be lead by the people for the people, by allowing the majority to rule over the sovereignty, at the same time protecting the minorities’ best interests.…
When organizing the Veterans assembly I would have never thought that so many veterans and community members would be so greatly impacted. While the assembly was taking place there where many Veterans who cried throughout the event, the impact this activity had on them was that we showed them how thankful we are for the things that they did for us even when they did not know us. This impacted them because it showed them that they are people who we are thankful for because without them our country would not be the great place it is today. This activity made them see that all of their hard work and suffering was worth it, and that future generations are willing to give them the respect that they deserve.…
Veterans were sent to other countries that they knew nothing about and had to learn so many new things. Veterans are people that is very special. Veterans are considered heroes because they are known for fighting in war. + Being retired. The word freedom has a different meaning for different people. Freedom to me means being free from a single ruler who dictates and who goes by his own rules. Freedom has affected America immensely and has brought upon many individuals for the thought of having freedom for the first time. We sometimes take our freedom for granted and do not think of how people dream of having freedom. America has freedom because it was fought for and lives were taken for the future generations to come and enjoy the freedom that is limited in very few places on earth. Individuals that fought and helped in the wars had to endure the pain from the traumatic scenes from their experience. Freedom can affect you in many ways, from the way you think to the way…
