As an outside observer of the fans in Cleveland, one may assume that they are some crazy fans but the locals know all about the love that is felt for these all these sports, here on the lake shore of Lake Erie. For instance, on any given Sunday a person would witness what is called the Dawg Pound, this is an area in the end zone that the fans are seated. The fans in this area will dress up in dog costumes, go shirtless in freezing weather, and many more unique ways to show their support. While this tradition happens at some level with all the teams in Cleveland, it is more prominent with the Browns. The Cleveland fans have shown there passion in many different ways, when the owner at the time, Art Modell stated he would be moving the Browns. The fans protested for days and weeks, forcing the city to bring a law suit against the owner and the NFL, which resulted in a settlement, outside of court. The fans partially won, as the city and its fan were able to keep the Browns history and would have a “new” team in three years. Another situation the fans took to the streets to show their feelings accrued when LaBron James announced his decision to leave Cleveland, the fans were seen burning James’s jersey along with other memorabilia. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Finals. Considering the Cavaliers did it in a way, only Cleveland fan would expect, as they made history to come back from being down 3-1 in the series to win the Finals, no other team in NBA history has every completed this feat. Although the fans are still in shock even a week later, the fans showed their passion once again by taking to the street and having what is being called the largest parade in sports history, even bigger then anything held in New York or Chicago, that are much larger in size. This just goes to show how special the fans are in Cleveland. And while no one know how long it will be before the fans of Cleveland sports will experience this again, hopefully not 52 years, the Cleveland fans are the best in the county. And while other sports clubs feel like they have the most supportive fans, none can top the fans from Cleveland, Ohio who have supported all three of their teams- the Brown, the Indians, and the Cavaliers, despite years of heartbreak, embarrassment and defeat. No matter what happens in the future the fan will still be there supporting and cheering their teams win or
