Cooking is allowed
There are similar diets that emphasize on eating raw fruits, vegetables and meat. The Paleo diet recognizes that the cavemen did cook their food, and so cooking is perfectly acceptable. Although raw foods are encouraged, especially in the cases of fruits and vegetables. This brings more people to the table who would not want to eat raw meat or fish.

The only beverage that is truly Paleo is water and should be taken only when thirsty. The best is spring water that is free of pharmaceuticals with no chlorine or fluoride added. Organic green tea may be included as it's the least processed. Fruit juice is concentrated fructose that would not have existed and would not be
