This primary source is a letter from George Washington to his wife’s uncle, Francis Dandridge. George Washington faced some few yet significant issues regarding the foreign affairs policy of the United States after becoming the first president of the United States of America. It had to do with the war between France and England that took place in the year 1793. Each of you have placed this nation's security and the freedom of others before your own lives. I would like to thank you for all the hard work that you have done to make the world a better place and the consequences that came along with serving for the country. I know how hard it most of been to leave your love ones behind but your choice has guaranteed many people lives to be safer. I might sound selfish saying that because I'm siting home in a safe place and your fighting to keep the people safe in America but the amount of honor and respect towards you and your family will never be forgotten. This memory of being a hero on this planet will never be taken away from you and always will be honored by my community. I believe that you are a very brave person and wise, nothing will stop you from accomplishing your goals so I encourage you to never give up because sometimes their are bad times but it will all ways get better at the end.
