The Important Invention of the Cell Phone
Cell phones are one of the most important creations ever since the telephone itself. With the creation of the telephone we were able to communicate with other human beings all across the world thus allowing us to communicate valuable information to family, and friends. This invention also created various job opportunities to many people in the form of telemarketing. You can quite clearly see how amazing the invention of the telephone is and it has gone through many innovations, the most important one being the cell phone. It has all the capabilities of a telephone, but includes internet, games to entertain you, cameras, and various applications that makes effortless life feasible. A cell phone is a very useful tool as you can see, but there is a time and place where you can use it. I believe cell phones should not be used when operating a motor vehicle. Doing so not only risks your life but another human being’s life. No text or call is worth yours, or another person’s life. I agree with the state legislature abolishing the use of cell phones and hope this can prevent the recurring accidents due to use of cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.
Cell phones are great devices, but there is a time and place to use it. Operating a motor vehicle is certainly not the time to be using your cell phones. There are various reasons to not use cell phones during this time period but one major reason is that you might be breaking the law without even knowing. Many people get completely distracted and are unaware of the road in front of them. There are many cases in which people run a red light and get fined for that. In these harsh economic times it will be very difficult for you to pay that fine and in the end you will be the one suffering from that big fine. This has occurred to my aunt one time and it was not a good experience at all. She had to pay a big fine and was unable to pay the fine and had to borrow money from my cousin. It is very sad when this occurs to millions of citizens all over the country. There also plentiful of cases where the conductor of a vehicle is unaware of the speed limit and is unaware that he is speeding because he is too preoccupied having a conversation on his cell phone. What happens there is that the person driving the vehicle is introduced with an enormous fine which he has to pay along with all his bills in these harsh economic times. If you utilize your cell phone when operating a motor vehicle your cell phone bill won’t be the only bill you will have to pay.
Using your cell phone while driving a motor vehicle can be of great economic cost in these harsh economic conditions. Losing money is a horrible thing especially in these times but what’s even worse than losing your money is your life. Nearly twenty-five percent of all car accidents occur while talking on a cell phone. In that twenty-five percent thousands of people die due to talking on the cell phone. The most innocent person may be affected also by the reckless driving cause by the conductor using his cell phone while driving. Not too long ago a man driving his car was distracted because he was texting his wife, but in doing so he pass a school zone and did not slow down and this caused the life of a innocent twelve year old. All this could have been prevented if he focused on the road and waited to text his wife back. The state legislator will make sure these types of accidents don’t occur anymore by creating the law that will prevent the use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. Along with risking your life by using cell phones during operation of a motor vehicle you also risk huge bills. If you are blessed and survive an accident you will have to pay medical bills, and need to repair the motor vehicle you drove when the accident occurred. If you crashed into another person’s vehicle and they decide to sue you will have to pay the charges brought against you along with all the other bills. This is a horrible situation to be in these times and it all could have been prevented just by waiting to take a call or text when you stopped driving. No sane man would want to lose a lot of money and more importantly their life. This is why I am on the state legislature’s side when it comes to this law because it is there to protect and help you and the lives of many others.
The cell phone is such a magnificent invention, but there is a time and place for everything and using your cell phone while you are conducting a vehicle isn’t the time. If you do choose to use this device while operating a vehicle you are risking countless amounts of money, risking your life, and risking the life of others. There are many people getting into these accidents and losing their lives and money which is why our state legislature must impose this law upon us. It will reduce the amount of accidents occurring, and reduce the amount of deaths by loads. A call or text is something miniscule compared to the loads of money that come due to the accidents, and your precious life.

A Risk or a Benefit? As of 2000, there were about ninety million cell phone users in the United States, with 85% of them using their phones while on the road (Sundeen 1). Because of evidence that cell phones impair drivers by distracting them, some states have considered laws restricting their use in moving vehicles. Proponents of legislation correctly point out that using phones while driving can be dangerous. The extent of the danger, however, is a matter of debate, and the benefits may outweigh the risks.…

Accidents happen everyday on the road. Some are from bad weather conditions, others are because the driver is under the influence of alcohol, and many are caused by distracted drivers on their cellular phone. If people were more aware of how many people are injured or killed by someone who was using their phone while driving , then they wouldn't use their own phone while driving. If making a law that says it is illegal to use a handheld phone and drive will make people stop becoming distracted while driving, then it should be put into effect. A solution for a driver who wants to use their phone while driving would be to use the hands free option on their phone, or to purchase a tool to hold the phone while driving.…

Even though a lot of places in the United States are completely illegal to use the cellphone while a person is driving, there is still a lot of states in US where this rule is not applied, and it has been very dangerous for the drivers. Most of young people between the ages of sixteen and seventeen specially, text while driving, making them pay more attention on their phones than the road, which is not a mature attitude. Most of young drivers do not know how bad a car accident could be until they get involved into one. If a person is using the cellphone while driving, it just shows that the person is giving more attention to a electronic device, than paying attention on the street while conducting a heavy and big vehicle on movement, eventually causing an accident most of the times.…

Many people get hurt daily because of either them or someone else using their phone while driving. I think driving while using a handheld cell phone should be illegal. Three main reasons I think this is because sending a text while driving can cause many injuries or fatalities, having a phone in the car with someone is very distracting, and the use of a cell phone in the car with someone is not needed until they reach their destination. First texting and driving can cause a collision where not only the person at fault gets hurt, but an innocent person could possibly get hurt or even killed because of one simple text. Many people argue saying it was not their fault or it was an accident that the crash happened. Although it may have been an accident, it could have been avoided completely if that person…
