The Incredible True Story Analysis

The Incredible True Story is Logic's sophomore album following his impressive debut album Under Pressure. The Incredible True Story released on November 13, 2015 and has 14 tracks and 4 skits. One thing that this album has that no other album I have heard has is that The Incredible True Story actually has a story. It takes place in the future as two narrators search for a planet called paradise after the destruction of the earth. While they are on the search of this planet they are listening to “oldies” which is this album. Logic tells this story through four short skits throughout the album.

“Contact” is the intro to this album which is an instrumental that gives you the sense that he is taking off on an adventure into space. It sound so good that it makes you believe your on this spaceship with him, with the pounding drums, amazing vocals,
In a lot of songs he sound like other rappers such as kanye, and Kendrick Lamar. “City of Stars sound like something that would be produced like kanye. In “Stainless” he just took the beat from “backyard” by Travis Scott and changed almost nothing and just rapped over it.

Logic ends The Incredible True Story in a perfect way. The final track is called “The Incredible True Story” and in the end they find the planet Paradise and it counts down from 10 and when they finally land the two narrators step out of the spaceship and they hear birds, waterfalls and all these sounds. One of them says “Wait, wait what's that sound.” and you could hear all the birds chirping and all these different sounds you could hear on earth. Then the computer says “Life”. The ending makes you feel like if you actually went on an adventure and it's the best ending possible for this album.

The Incredible True Story is an amazing album that will keep you wanting to listen to more with its great beats and sound effects. Although there are some things he could of done better overall it's a really good
