The Indiana Tech Warriors Men
The Indiana Tech Warriors Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams return to action later this month. The Men’s team opens their season with a game at home to Wilberforce on the 26th of October. Last season saw the Warriors finish the season with a record of 21-10; it was the third straight season Coach Gruskin has finished up with a 20 plus wins. In the last three years he has a remarkable record as head coach here, compiling an unprecedented 61-29 (.698), one of the finest three-year periods in the school’s history. Last season saw the Warriors climb to 18th in the NAIA Top 25 Poll after they won the first nine of their ten games. The team will be hoping to build of the laurels of last year that saw them finish 4th in the WHAC standings with one of the best defenses in the conference.
The Women’s team also hosts Wilberforce on the same day as the Men to open their campaign. It is Coach Biggs’ second season in charge of the program and after their record last year of 13-18, which saw a school-best 11 conference wins. There is excitement in the air around campus that this year’s team can make the next step and progress to the national tournament. Senior, Ulyssia Richmond will be hoping to continue her fine form where she left off last year as she broke the 1000 point millstone. With Rachael Kruse and Richmond returning as seniors as well as a talented supporting cast this year looks bright for the Lady Warriors.

In college basketball, alley oops, fancy no look passes, and trash talking, are just some of the things we are now accustomed to today. Before 1991 though, it was all about making the simple plays just to get the ball in the hoop. Before the 90's all players would wear long white socks and short shorts, but now baggy shorts that go to your knees and black socks are in style around the world. What caused these changes to take place? It was a group of college basketball kids called the Fab Five at the University of Michigan. These five phenomenal players brought their own "swag" or style to the court and didn't care how people viewed them. At Michigan, the Fab Five represented a cultural phenomenon that impacted the country in a permanent and…

In society today the term "warrior" is used loosely and sometimes even associated with an athlete training for a specific event. By the fourth century B.C., Sparta designed a culture solely for training soldiers, a warrior culture. The problem with the design of a warrior culture is not in the fighting capabilities of the group, but in the lack of an artistic legacy that was lost during the life of a fighting culture.…

From my personal experience, team related questions are the most frequently asked questions in job interviews. Companies want to know the interviewees’ experience with diversified teams, because they want to know the type of team player of the interviewee. As most companies function in the unit of a team, it is increasingly important for employees and managers to understand how a team works, and how to transit smoothly from different stages. The Army Crew Team case reveals the frustration associated with declining performance by the varsity boat at the United States Military Academy. The symptoms are obvious, but the root causes lie underneath the symptoms. Multiple factors from multiple parties contributed to the situation. The best solution that addresses the root causes will be discussed in the conclusion.…
