The Influence Of Mauna Loa On The Earth
Mauna Loa is the biggest mountain in the world and one of the most active. It rises over 4 kilometers above sea level. Its coordinates are 19.4721 longatude and 155.5922 latitude. It is located in Hawaii. The 74.5 mile long volcano covers half of Hawaii. The massive volcano rises almost 2.5 miles above sea level. The volcano measures 56,000 feet from its ocean floor base. One of the legends say that the goddess Pele was driven from her home by her sister. Every time Pele would thrust her digging stick into the Earth to dig a hole into the ground to make a new home. Her sister the goddess of the land and sea would flood the holes. Pele eventually landed on Mauna Loa making it her new home. Mauna Loa was too tall to flood.

    First, we will discuss Mount St. Helens Volcano. Mount St. Helens is a stratovolcano located in the Pacific Northwest of the United States within Washington State.
