The media helped raise awarness for the Civil Rights Movement in a few different ways. One way the media did this is by broadcasting many violent things such as someone getting beaten for no reason
other than the color of their skin. Another violent action the media showed is "Bloody Sunday." These two violent actions the media showed the public helped the country realize the importance of the Civil Rights Movement. All in all, the media helped spark enforcement and support for the Civil Rights Movement.
The media also helped the country during war times. For example, during WWII, the media helped the war effort in a major way. They did this by ensuring the troops be well fed. The media did this by having reporters go on the news and explain conservation. They helped people realize that the troops needed the majority supply of food, so they encouraged people to start growing their own food with "Victory Gardens."
Both of these ways the media has helped the country have given the media a better name. However, the media still has work to do to gain back its reputation of being a resource to the government to help the country. One way the media can do this by doing things such as raising awarness for environmental problems. That is just one of many way the media can further improve.
All in all, the media has been very useful to the country and the government on various occassions. Whether these occassions were on a large scale such as WWII, or if these occassions were something smaller such as conserving water, they still had a positive impact on the country. The media has received a lot of negativity over the years and have received various opinions, but in some opinons, the media is trying to help.
