Their irresponsibility can affect many others in negative ways. “Many children get their first experience with responsibility by caring for a pet,” states Mullin. With the existence of these robotic pets,learning about responsibility gets more difficult . For example, if the robot dies, it is not a huge issue! It only takes a few seconds to replace its batteries. Teaching kids with robots can influence them to think they will be given chances every time something goes wrong. This is impossible with biological pets. It is not easy or even scientifically possible to replace their cold hearts with a warm, beating one. Children cannot learn about the consequences of taking care of a real life animal. As previously stated, yes, it is good to try again and again with the robots first until they learn. However, that is not how things work in real life, and could possibly affect their future lives when working in jobs.
