“Wolves” Ulrich said under his breath. They both look at each other in fear. There was a long moment of silence. Georg broke the silence with a loud scream for help. “Shut your mouth!” Ulrich yelled “they might not find us if we’re quiet.” There was another long moment of silence until they herd whimpers and cries from the wolves. A war, a battle, or even an argument with a sibling. Conflict is around everywhere and essentially comes about due to our innate calling for a challenge. The Von Gradwitz as well as the Znaeym family experience this first hand as their differences begin to take over. The short story “The Interlopers”, written by Saki, clearly exemplifies how harmful conflict can be. The short story teaches us that it is foolish to prolong or even have conflict but rather to settle the issue with great haste.…

I’ve noticed, alright? I know that other wolves make fun of you and don’t think that you’re one of us. But you know what? You are one of us. You’ve made yourself a place here in our pack, and I know that you’ve worked yourself to death to make it that way, as your mother has. You are an amazing wolf, even if you aren’t one in body. You are in mind, in spirit. And that’s more than I could ask for, Eulee. I know we’ve only been friends since we were pups, but I’ve come to fall for you. I’ve come to realize that yes, you are different, but I honestly could care less. You’re so important, not just to this pack, but also to me, and I know that you and I could create a new family, a new bloodline of wolves to make our pack greater and stronger.” The hot pricks in the corners of my eyes came back, and I could feel them start to trickle down my…
