The life of Sacagawea started all when she was born in Lemni River Valley Idaho in May 1788. Sacagawea nationally was american she was a native american when she was 12 she meet two people named Lewis and Clark that were on a journey to trade and talk with other nations to become allies and have more support of others. But before she meet them when Sacagawea was around 12 years old she was captured in the beginning of fall with several others from her village by the three forks of the missouri by a war party of hidatsas and then were later sold to Roussaint Charbonneau.
When she got sold she was raped and had her first kid which was a boy which she named Jean Baptiste Charbonneau later in that time she married the person that raped her after that event took place two months after the birth of her son Madan Hidatsa villages to journey west with the corps of discovery that's when she meet Lewis and Clark that would guide them for their louisiana purchase while her son was strapped onto her. When she joined Lewis and Clark there was little evidence that she didn't even guide them she was more of a translator and the only reason she joined them was because her husband hired her as a translator and that was the only reason she wished to join
