Her loathing for the lady is the main reason I came to my conclusion. The looks that the lady and her lover shared may have pushed her to the tiger, because she did not want them to be together. Due to this she may have approached the situation with a “If I can’t have him them no one can” mentality, fueled by the intense jealousy she had for the lady. The plot of many major movies plots revolve around this split second decision like in the story. Many of these movies give the main characters are given a decision of whether they want to live and sacrifice a lot of people or even the whole world or to sacrifice themselves and save the people. In these movies they always choose to save the people over themselves but they almost never want to live. In a way this relates to the story whether she wants to watch her lover die and then move on or to live with the constant pain of seeing him with that other woman. In many ways this story relates to difficult decisions that people have to make throughout their lives, I believe that is the deeper meaning of the whole
