Hendrix was believed to be the greatest guitarist that ever lived. His impact on today’s music is still incorporated into today’s society.…

Some of these eminent stars include Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Vinnie Moore, Paul Gilbert and Tony MacAphine. However, Rusty is known for sticking to a number of instruments with notable being his customized six, seven and eight stringed guitars. This has made many to compare his technique to that of the likes of Randy Rhoads. Moreover, his sweep picking signature style is said to originate from Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen original sweep picks. I met Mr. Dugmore and he took me to his studio out behind the house. When we walked in the door, the first thing that caught my eye was all the gold and platinum records that were hanging on the walls. I started walking around the room looking at each accomplishment he had attained. Major artist’s such as Tim Mcgraw, Carrie Underwood, Kenney Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and many more were among the records. In the center of the room was a computer desk with a computer, a mixing board, and monitor speakers attached. His Show Pro pedal steel was set up next to the desk. In the adjoining room, there were probably 9 or 10 different pedal steels that were set up. There were more pedal steels in one room than I have seen in my entire lifetime.…

With the sun oppressively beating down on us, sweat running down our backs in gushing rivers, and starting “Joe Avery” for the umpteenth time, we couldn’t be happier (okay, we could probably go without playing Joe Avery again, but still). Gazing around at the sea of strangers surrounding me, I know that I could not be in better company. To think that a myriad of musicians assembled haphazardly from across the nation would form such a fine group.…
Dave Brubeck’s unique performance style is characterized primarily by his use of polytonality, polyrhythm, and immense amounts of improvisation. His style grew from his upbringing and as he put it, “different approach to all of the normal things”. By no means did Dave take the normal approach; he made it all the way threw the conservatory with out being able to read the piano music he was playing. His ability to think on the spot and his amazing ear took jazz to the next level. He took jazz to a world of difficult technicality and created sounds with depth that amazed all who had the opportunity to listen to him. Brubeck once stated, “And there is a time where you can be beyond yourself. You can be…
