The Lightning Thief Book Vs Movie Analysis
There are many similarities and differences between The Lightning Their book and movie. Some things that are only in the book that is not in the movie. Also, there are some things that are in the movie that are not in the book at all. Though, there are things that are in the book that are not in the movie there are also things that are in both the book and movie. No movie that is based on the book is the exact same as the movie, like here there are the differences and similarities of The Lightning Thief book, written by Rick Riordan and the movie directed by Chris Columbus.
In the book The Lightning Thief there are several things that are in the book that are not in the movie. One thing that was difference is that the three demigods got the

In the beginning of the book there is a Nancy Bobofit, but in the movie there is not and this takes away a large part of the beginning. The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee in the movie but in the book they do not go to the Parthenon. Also, unlike the book Luke steals the lightning bolt for power and to use it to overrule the gods.
Just like there are differences there are also similarities that the book and movie do share. A similarity they both share in common is that Luke, son of Hermes, is the lightning thief. Another thing is that the Minotaur kidnaps Percy’s mother for Hades. Later they go to the Underworld. Not all books and movies are completely different, but in fact can have many similarities.
There are many differences and similarities between the book and movie. The Lightning Thief is both an astounding book and movie. One of my favorite things that was in the book that wasn’t in the movie, which disappointed me, is Grover being dragged away towards Tartarus. Now, I did enjoy the fact they put in the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee to add more action and adventure to the movie, though it wasn’t in the book. I am glad that Luke stayed the lightning thief or else the movie and book would have been nothing alike in my

Another difference that I noticed is concerning Curley's wife. In the book there is a scene where Lennie, Candy and Crooks are gathered in Crooks' room. After a while, Curley's wife emerges and the atmosphere becomes unpleasant. Crooks finds the courage to stand up against her, and when he does, she verbally breaks him down. In the movie this scene never takes place, and by eliminating this incident Curley's wife's destructive nature stays unrevealed.…

The book and movie have many differences. This is some of the book differences. When James called Bella to meet him at the ballet she sneaked away differently. She runs away from Alice and Jasper in the Phoenix airport bathroom into the parking lot. Another difference is when Bella, Jessica and Angela goes to Port Angeles to pick out dresses. Since Bella decides not to go to the dance she leaves and plans to meet them at dinner. But, she gets lost on the way and gets followed by four man. In the book Bella faints in biology class because they are working with blood. But that scene isn't mentioned in the movie. The fourth book difference is when Bella gets ready for prom. In the book Alice helps her get ready for it, at the Cullens house. The…

I believe that the book and the movie version of Our America have more differences than similarities because there were a lot of things that were different. For example, in the book the story of how 5 year old Eric Morse got dropped out of the 14th floor window was different from the story in the movie. In the movie it…

The third and final big difference was Grendel. The poem said that Grendel was a son of Cain. He would attack when everyone was sleeping because people were telling the creation story. In the movie, Grendel was a son of Hrothgar. Grendel attacked during the party because of the praise people would give to Hrothgar. Hollywood did this because they wanted to make them three dimensional, good versus evil. The movie removed references to God and Christianity, so that it would be more favored by the bad guy, Unferth. Hollywood also wanted to make it more appealing to the changing audiences to make them interested in watching it.…

Secondly, the novel has richer characterization then the movie. In the movie they missed important characters. Frist, the age of both Percy and Annabeth are wrong, they are supped to be 12 in the book; whereas in the movie, they are 16. Also the appearances of Medusa and Annabeth are not what reader expected. According to the book, Medusa is an old, Middle Eastern woman, with coffee-colored skin, and Annabeth has curly blonde hair, and gray eyes. Contrast the movie. Medusa appears to be a young, Caucasian woman and Annabeth has iron-straight brown hair, and blue eyes. Lastly, the characterization of Hades is different between novel and the movie, thus the main thing wrong with the movie. The movie shows Hades are the bad boss, because the absent of Kronos and Ares. However as most of people’s understanding of the book, Kronos is…

Whenever you read a book and then go watch the movie, most of the time they don’t follow the same events in the same order. Just like in the myth “Perseus” and the movie, Clash of the Titans, the event are not all the same and some of the causes of the events are not the same either. Different things happen in the movies that are not even close to some of the things in the myth. These differences can either make the story better or just make it less interesting.…
