King Mufasa teaches Simba about the lands he will day rule over and about the circle of life. Resentful that his nephew has taken his place as heir to the throne, Mufasa’s brother Scar formulates a plan to become king. Scar causes a wildebeest herd to stampede which kills Mufasa and convinced by his uncle that he is responsible, Simba leaves promising never to return. Many years later Simba, defends Timon and Pumbaa from a starving lioness, who then turns out to be Nala. They reconcile and fall in love as she explains that the pride lands are desolate due to Scar’s rule. Simba refuses to return until Rafiki, a friend of Mufasa’s helps him to have an epiphany. Simba must then accept who he is, for him to be able to defeat Scar and return to pride rock.
The clip I have chosen to analyse is at the end of the film when, after battling Scar, it is time for Simba to finally take his place as king and repair the damage his uncle has
