The Lost Generation gives many insights on what the future can possibly hold for us. In this video, two different perspectives are given on the future of humanity. When the text is read top to bottom, stressful music and an undesirable tone of voice lead us to believe that humanity will be the cause of its own demise. However, when the text is reversed, a glimmer of hope from the tone of voice and an upbeat rhythm tells us that our future is in our own hands. While both views are taken into consideration while watching the video, the message that is reversed and inspiring is the one that should be acquired by all people in an effort to better our own future. There is no telling what the future holds for us, the world and its people are ever-changing. For example, the author reads “and all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it.” Humans hold the key to the future, if should we shy away from our families in an effort to find happiness in money, that is when we will see our own self destruction. Also, readers hear “family is more important than work” in an upbeat tempo in the music and a hopeful tone of voice. The Lost Generation must follow this message in reverse to find its future. It is only when we see happiness in our families and not our work when we become less apathetic and lethargic in our own actions. We must grasp the truth in this video and realize that its inspiration is proof that humanity decides its own fate and that we have the power to change it. So what do we ask ourselves? Do we let our life, family, and future fall apart at the expense of our own stupidity? I believe we should kick the “Lost Generation” title and rebuild our own insights into something that is stronger than the current norms of society. We should take action in what is said in the reversed message and realize that the future should have families that
