First, the filming of the movie was very amature like. It was almost like they gave an 8 year old a camera and said go get some footage. Another difference between the movie and the story was, the black box was newer. It wasn’t cracked and made of wood, it was almost like a metal box. Next, in the movie people game Davie a big rock. In the story, they gave him a little pebble. Also, in the story Tessie was circled by a shed. In the movie she was circle by everybody. She wasn’t up against anything, everybody just got really close and started stoning her. In conclusion, there were many differences between the movie and the story The Lottery.
In conclusion, that was a story about The Lottery. Both of the two versions were effective to the theme. The movie was better. It gave more detail about what it really looked like and gave it to you frankly instead of sugar-coating it by saying there was richly green grass, when it was dull lifeless grass. Also, in the story they said that they gave Davie little pebbles, when they gave him a big stone. You should think about it because it was wrong! You are killing a human being for nothing! You don’t sacrifice anything, but that’s what the power of tradition
