One of my favorite movies is Dances With Wolves. Dances With Wolves is a 1990 American epic western film directed and produced by Kevin Costner. Kevin Costner plays the star character, Lieutenant, John J. Dunbar. He is wounded in the American Civil War. He chose to try to commit suicide over having his foot amputated by taking a horse and riding it up to and along the confederate soldiers’ front lines. They failed to shoot him. The Union Army attacks the line while the confederate soldiers are distracted and the Union Army wins the battle. Dunbar survives and is allowed to recover properly, receives a citation for bravery, and is awarded Cisco, the horse who carried him, as well as his choice of posting. John Dunbar requests a transfer…
This film is closely based on the true events of the shameful Tuskegee project, for which the few survivors received a formal apology from President Clinton in 1997. Heat-haze and sultry music evoke the sensuality of the poverty-stricken, deep south.…
Jack Salmon plays a very big role in this novel, if not the biggest. He is the loving father of the murdered 14 year old girl Susie Salmon and he wants revenge. Through out the novel Jack portrays most of the 5 stages of grief especially anger. He at the beginning of the Novel The Lovely Bones destroys his large collection of ships in bottles that he built with his daughter. ”My heart seized up.…

In India, The Caste System is used to determine what rank one will be in society and the social class one is in cannot be changed. The Caste System is mostly practiced in India, however it slowly travelled and made its way to high school. In the 1986 comedy, drama, and romance, “Pretty in Pink”, starring Molly Ringwald as Andie Walsh and Andrew McCarthy as Blane McDonnagh the two main characters face many trials and tribulations in their love for each other in 1980’s high school because of the different social classes the two come from. Ultimately, because the two come from different worlds this leaves into question, can their relationship work?…
Little Miss Sunshine was the feel good movie of the summer, opening on July 26, 2006. The minds behind the camera were Michael Arndt, who wrote the screenplay, and directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. The movie would not have come together if it had not been for the awesome cast that brought it all together, Abigail Breslin, Paul Dano, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear, and Alan Arkin. Not one of the 17 awards and nominations for the movie and cast could have happened if it had not been for Fox Searchlight Pictures and Big Beach production companies for believing in bringing the story to the big screen.…

The three terms/concepts are: casting, ensemble acting, and method acting. The cast of American Beauty won a Screen Actors Guild Award for an Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Theatrical Motion Picture in the year 2000, the ensemble acting includes the acting techniques of working together in the film shots, and the casting of the group of actors for the characters’ roles includes: Annette Bening, Wes Bentley, Thora Birch, Chris Cooper, Peter Gallagher, Allison Janney, Kevin Spacey, and Mena Suvari. In fact, some of the actors cast in the roles are not method actors per se, and their acting articulates some of the Stanislavski's System techniques which include the establishment of their own creative personal methods.…
The Lovely Bones is a coming of age story because even though she is dead and stuck in the In-Between, she grows through watching her friends and family’s Earthly experiences and struggles. She is able to grow in a way that does not seem possible, just by watching all of the Earthly activity. The Lovely Bones represents how all of her friends and family adjust in the times following her death. This also considers how Susie grows, matures, and adapts to her new home in…
The Lovely Bones is written by Alice SeBold and is about a young girl named Susie who was brutally murdered by her next door neighbor, Mr. Harvey. No one suspected Mr. Harvey in the beginning, but with Susie’s help from the beyond, he became the lead suspect. Susie began to send clues to her family from heaven, but the problem was that only her father, brother and sister could connect with her and feel her presence. This problem expanded quickly and because of it, tore the family apart. Abigail, Susie’s mother, became the one torn from the family. Abigail dealt with Susie’s death differently than everyone else in the Salmon family. Abigail’s grieving process was slower than everyone else’s grieving process. Abigail becomes the antagonist in the novel and becomes the one character that can’t face Susie’s death.…
“Tragedies are often dispatched in short order, and most of life is aftermath” (“Letting go; New fiction” 1). Tragic events often leave the victim and those close to them seeking closure. The journey of discovery is filled with many obstacles that everyone reacts differently. The novel The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold shows how the journey to get through emotional trauma caused by death of a loved one, and life that can never be continued affects everyone in different ways. The Salmon family embarks on a journey through life with struggles while trying to discover themselves without Susie Salmon in their lives after her murder, at the age of fourteen. Lindsey, Susie’s sister, has difficulty finding her own image in Susie’s shadow after her…

As the police continue that search, Susie is walker watching her family move on from her death until; she has reached her moment to go to her heaven.
