The Lucky One
The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

The Lucky One opens when two very different men meet. Deputy Keith Clayton is a sleaze who is sneaking through the North Carolina underbrush in order to take pictures of a group of skinny-dipping coeds. And Marine Logan Thibault - After he leaves the Marines, Logan experiences a profound tragedy that spurs him to find the mysterious woman in the picture. Logan finds the photograph to be his 'good luck charm' as he survived the deadliest of wars, and won numerous hands of poker upon finding it.
He can deduce a few clues from the photograph, so he takes his German shepherd, Zeus, and begins walking with only a pack on his back. When he finally reaches Hampton, North Carolina, immediately after his encounter with Deputy Clayton, he has a feeling that he is nearing the end of his quest. Sure enough, when he shows the photograph to locals, they inform him who the woman is: Beth Green, a schoolteacher and mother who lives with her grandmother at the family dog kennels. They also warn him that Beth is off-limits; she has an ex-husband who no one wants to mess with.
From just the start of the book I can tell Im not going to like Deputy Clayton at all.
He seems like he is someone who although part of the law, would break it for what he wants.
Clayton knew that local students liked to go to a certain private part of the beach to skinny dip and swim. So Clayton goes there often, but not to stop them - but to take pictures for himself.
There is no telling how many photos like that he has. Clayton disturbs

In other words he was questioning and challenging the law. But what made him challenge the law? Let’s look at this through some of the major perspectives of psychology. Let’s start with the psychodynamic view. Was there something that happened in his childhood that could’ve been a factor to his brutal crime? He did grow up in an abusive home with an alcoholic dad, and was always fighting with his brothers and sisters. Maybe this affected him and caused him to permanently become violent. The behavioral perspective tells us that environment reinforces behavior. Well maybe it was the very violent and dangerous Haitian ghetto that he grew up in that could have reinforced his angry behavior and caused him to commit such an act. The Sociocultural perspective tells us that the social media or maybe cultural influence could have affected him. We could trace back to what music he…

Johnny from The Outsiders is a law breaker, but is still a good person.“ ‘I killed him,’ he said slowly. ‘I killed that boy.’ ” (Hinton 56) This is meaningful because this shows that he is a law breaker. This is also relevant because it determines he is starting to realize what he did. “ ‘I said we’re goin’ back and turn ourselves in,’ Johnny repeated in a high voice. ” (Hinton 87)This is necessary because it displays that Johnny has realized what he did. This is also fundamental because it demonstrates that Johnny is doing the right thing and turning himself in.After analyzing S.E.
