The book quite honestly is a book about his patients and what they feel and how they think.
What makes this book different than any other clinical trial book is that he also expresses how he feels throughout the book. This book consists of twenty four incredible short stories split into four parts which are; Losses, Excesses, Transports, and The World of Simple. I find this so unbelievable because if I couldn't remember anything i don't know how I would get through life. One event that stands out against all the others is the story of “The Dog Beneath the
Skin” is about a boy who was involved with drugs and had a very weird increase in his ability to smell. This whole story just made me so intrigued i decided to look more into it and discovered that he had later confessed that it was him who this story was about. This book had a huge impact on me personally. i think we can all agree if anyone were to read this book at least one of these stories probably made them really consider some things and really just recognize that these problems aren't really just crazy people, now i know that these are real life problems that people everyday have to deal with. The brain in my opinion is the most complex organ we have if something goes wrong there it can force your whole body to
