How do you perceive the world you live in? What is the difference between reality and that perception? The basic concept of arguments is comparing one view to another view. Images are usually the basis on which an argument is built upon. However, should the images we identify with our eyes be taken as the truth, or are the images we detect deeper than what is perceived? In essence, the whole point of the Matrix is understanding that everything is not always as it appears to be. The basic knowledge that humans have been taught since birth is never put into question; it is just accepted. The minds of people are put into “bondage” from actually trying to figure out whether something is actually factual. For example, stereotypes are driven by popular misconceptions about a particular race of people, religion, and beliefs. The media is also a tool used to trick and control your mind by using certain subject matter to sway you to believe whatever is the “hot topic”. We are prone to believing that what we see, taste, touch, smell, and hear is what is real, yet we are cognitively able to use these senses in our dreams. How do we recognize what reality is and what is just perception?
