First, the undergraduate study entitled The Meaning of Technical Terms Used in Skateboarding Tricks by Made Ari Sukmayanti (2011). Her study focused on the technical terms used in skateboarding tricks and the meaning of the technical terms in skateboarding tricks. Documentation method in collecting the data and qualitative descriptive method in analyzing the data are used in his study. The theory of the types of meaning by Lyons (1996) was used in that study. The result of her study was that there were many technical terms used in skateboarding tricks such as basic, flip, spin, slide, grind, and grab tricks. This journal concerned with examining the synonymous pair create and produce and describing their similarities and differences. This journal used two approaches proposed by Collinson 1939) in order to distinguish synonyms and by Taylor (2002) in order to test similarities and differences of near-synonyms. The results of this journal showed that two verbs create and product have a similarity, that is those verbs appear as a bare infinitive and in the –ed forms. The difference is verb create is usually followed by abstract objects. Meanwhile, verb produce is usually followed by objects produced in great number with a low threshold for creativity. Furthermore, there are 466 instances of create and 481 instances of produce found. The strength of this journal is data explained clearly. This journal is different from this study where Chung’s journal used two American corpora, namely the Brown Corpus and the Freiburg-Brown Corpus, while this study merely used COCA as the data
