In the story there is more magic to it, but the magic is very evil. Each of the wishes come with a price…a terrible price. Morris the man who brings the monkey's paw into the white's house, and they think it is extraordinary, but Moris does not. He tells them about it but they just think it is a silly story , but when Morris throws the paw in the fireplace Mr.White goes and grabs it. Morris tells him to throw it out because all it it is bad, but he doesn't listen to him he keeps it and morris leaves. The first thing they do is try and use it to see if it actually works and it does, but in a terrible way, for them to have the money a terrible thing happens, their son gets killed. The mother was heartbroken but a few weeks later she remembers about the monkey's paw and she tells her husband to go wish him alive and at first he didn't want to but she forced him to.
