In the play “The Monster Are Due on Maple Street” by Rod Serling, the events of the character's actions are important because they drive the plot in the story. As quoted in the passage “Electricity’s off, phone won’t work, can’t get a thing on the radio, etc.” When the electricity came out, then everyone went crazy and when they started to notice that nothing work. Then they stayed up all night watching Mr. Goodman.“I don’t sleep very well at night sometimes. I get up and I take and look up at the sky.” That made everyone very tired then they all got together. Later, Charlie shot Van Horn and they started accusing everyone. “You killed him, Charlie. You shot him dead!” After that everyone went crazy and accusing who lights were going on.
