Rainsford got up and headed out of his room. He looked around as if he thought there was someone outside waiting for him. He scanned around the house and saw no one. Rainsford had felt proud of himself for beating General Zaroff, but he also had this small feeling of fear. Rainsford had to come up with an idea on how to get himself off of the island. It wouldn’t be long before Rainsford started getting hungry. He needed to find a map of the island before he tried exploring. Rainsford walked around the large house. He left Ivan’s room and went into what seemed to look like a storage room. It was very dusty and had a musty smell in there. There were boxes everywhere, but they had no words written on any of them. Rainsford needed to find a map so he was going to have to go through all of the boxes. The first one he went through was full of moccasin shoes. Those were the type of shoes that Rainsford wore for the game. He shut that box, and went to the next. This time the box was full of what Rainsford was looking for. “Maps!” Rainsford yelled excitedly.
Rainsford grabbed a map and walked out of the room. He sat on a staircase looking through the map. He found the house he was in. Rainsford was trying to figure out a way to get to a spot with food. Rainsford stepped out of the house and went on a rocky trail. All of a sudden he heard a loud noise. It sounded like something crashed. Rainsford went to go check on the noise, so he walked toward the entrance where the sound was coming from. “Is anyone there?” Rainsford yelled.
It was silent for a moment. Rainsford heard something moving in some bushes. All of a sudden a woman popped out of the bushes. She looked a little beat up.
