The Most Enzyme Concentration Of Orange Juices Experiment Results
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this experiment was to see which type of orange juice will have the most vitamin C to the point where it will change colors.
HYPOTHESIS: Orange juices labeled A will have the most enzyme concentration because it looked thicker than the others. Therefore I thought it will need more Iodine whilst orange juice labeled B & C will need less Iodine because they looked lighter.
Variables
Independent: the amount of Iodine that was added to the the different types of orange juice
Dependent: The color of the orange juice changed to dark purple depending on how much iodine that was put into orange juices.
Controlled: the temperature of the orange juices and the amount of orange juices.
Materials/Procedures: In this lab, Dr. Bennett supplied us with 3 different brands of orange juices labeled A, B, C.Next, he gave us cornstarch, stirring rods,2 beakers one that measured 100 ml and the other that measured 50 ml for when we run out the

Bennett supplied us with 3 different brands of orange juices labeled A, B, C.Next, he gave us cornstarch, stirring rods,2 beakers one that measured 100 ml and the other that measured 50 ml for when we run out the test. Then, he gave us 25ml graduated cylinder and finally an electric balance. So we proceeded to get approximately 50 ml of juices sample A for the directed location and put it into the 100ml beaker. Then we measured 20 ml and put into the 50ml beaker.Next, we used the electric balance making sure that we put our measuring boat on it and zero it out before we add our 0.5 grams of cornstarch to the juice.Next, we used the stirring rods to stir it carefully. Then, as we stirred we gradually added Iodine it was no longer orange but dark purple. We then record how many drops it took to change the orange juices color.Next, we repeat steps 1-5 ten add the two numbers and divide my two. Finally, we repeat procedure 1-7 for the oranges juices B, C, and vitamin c

From my results I can see that the accurate result was 0.98 and our estimated was 0.1M but I rounded up my answer to 1 decimal places to see so there was not that much of a difference. Overall my experiment went well because I have followed instruction and I archived my hypothesis because I calculate that the chemical will have more concentration because it is a hydrochloric acid which will react with a methyl orange indicator solution and cause colour change from yellow to pink in my experiment I could clearly see the change of the colour. Form my results table I can see that my results were close to 0.1M which means that I have used the accurate amount of standard solution in my experiment If I was to improve my experiment I could attempt to read the burette to the bottom or top of the meniscus by doing this it might give me accurate results for my experiment. Another way of improving my experiment could be that I use volumetric pipettes for measuring.…

In our experiment we conducted an experiment to validify our hypothesis: “ If the enzyme concentration increases, it would alter the rate of which the color changes.” We hypothesized that the increase of an enzyme concentration would result in the increase of reaction rate; our experiment provided enough data to prove our hypothesis. The function of this experiment was to investigate how the influence of turnip peroxidase enzyme on the rate of reaction. As a given we would have 20g of turnip in 500 mL of deionized water. We would have a three different trials and in those trials we would do it three times.…

This project was to see if orange juice can benefit the body more than gatorade can. If orange juice has more electrolytes than gatorade, then orange juice can help the body stay more hydrated. Athletes care about getting enough electrolytes because the athletes need to stay hydrated when working out and playing sports. The independent variable is the orange juice, gatorade, and distilled water. The dependent variable is the electrolytes measured in milliamps. The results were that the gatorade had 0.01 milliamps more than the orange juice and the distilled water stayed at zero. The hypothesis was not supported because the hypothesis states that the orange juice has more electrolytes than the gatorade. If the experiment was repeated, the amount…
