Just months ago, the game developers at 2k Sports released another NBA game to the number one selling basketball franchise in video games. This time it was released as regularly for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but was also released with the unveiling of the next generation gaming consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. This allowing for much advanced changes in graphics and all that they could put into their latest version of the leading video game selling franchise in basketball. All video gamers who enjoy sports games should take a big look into NBA 2k. Up to date, it carries with it the best graphics that I have come across in a sports video game, along with the most incredibly realistic and true gaming experience in comparison to the sports league that it is attempting to reflect. 2k Sports game developers took action when they found out that they would have the release of the next generation gaming consoles just about a month after the release of the latest installment of their NBA franchise. Along with their biggest competitors, NBA Live, they would also have to make a version of this years game for not only the third generation consoles, but also for the newly to be released Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. Although this would be a challenging task, I am sure it was one that excited the developers of each of these game franchises. New graphics and abilities would be achievable with the latest generation of consoles, and this year’s games would be the first to make a trial run at them. The 2k Sports team took advantage of the newly achievable graphics and certainly didn’t disappoint me. The player models and facial renders for this years installment are for the first time, appealingly flawless. The attention to detail is amazing. From the character facial expressions being utilized at perfect times in the game, to the creators literally doing facial scans for every NBA athlete to make the most realistic
