Being a naïve child, I thought that the KKK stopped in the sixties. I remember right after hearing what he said I immediately ran into my great grandmother’s house to ask her what it meant. My grandmother Habit was a very old wise woman always sitting in her chair watching TV. Running into the house I asked, panting “What is the KKK Habit? Why are they coming here?” She wasn’t facing me, her eyes dosing off while watching Bonanza so I tapped her on her shoulder and asked her again. The mayor knew why they were coming to the city The Neo-Nazis came to the city to protest gang violence and they planned to protest in an area with heavy gang activity, knowing that they can make people rowdy coming there. Knowing that the mayor and city officials could have made them move the protest to an area downtown where both sides could not cause any trouble. It wasn’t the Neo-Nazis that cause the riot, it wasn’t the neighborhood that cause the riot, but the mayor of Toledo that cause it. His job as mayor is to do what is best for the city and he did not do
