The short story, “The Nest” by Robert Zacks, is about how a boy wanted to go on a hike with his friend, Paul. Jimmy, the one that wanted to meet his friend, decided to ask his Mom before going. However, Ms. Swanson also known as Jimmy’s mom, didn’t want Jimmy to go on a hike with Paul. This is because Ms. Swanson knew he was in a gang and was a bad influence.
