The Nymph's Reply To The Shepherd
Both "The Nymph's Reply to the Shepherd" poem by Raleigh and "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" poem by Marlow are written in the same structure and they contain most of the same elements, but they differ in the purpose; one is an invitation and the other one answer it.
The difference between the poems is that they have different purposes; Marlow’s poem is an invitation: the shepherd is trying to convince his love to come and live with him for what he claims to be wonderful in the rural life. While Raleigh poem is a response to Marlow's poem by disbelieving of the promises that the shepherd have made.
The difference in both of the poem’s theme shows their different opinion of love; Raleigh’s poem indicates skepticism theme; Raleigh is skeptic
