Book 1
In the book, "A Goddess Intervenes" it involves Muse and talks about Odysseus' life with the Nymph, Calypso. He says how for years he was held captive on and island with Calypso. After, finally getting away he was able to start his journey home. Muse, daughter of Zues, tells the story through a song. Talking about Athena wanting to help Odysseus to find his way home.
Book 5
This book, "Calypso, The Sweet Nymph" was about Odysseus trying to get back home and on the way he meets a nymph named Calypso. She then keeps him on the island for 7 years and forces sexual relations with Odysseus. However, Odysseus' heart is forever with his wife, Penelope, who he longs to return to back home. He starts relating to the king and his adventures. He tries to get home in Ithaca. In this story, Odysseus talks about his journey and who he meets. He discovered cyclopes on one land and he has no respect for them because they have no consultation and sees them as wild savages. After every situation he's been through, he finally makes it home.
Book 10
The book, "Circe, the Grace of the Witch" is about Odysseus and his men, along with Circe. Aeolus gives Odysseus two gifts and sends him home on his ship. While he was sleeping his men open the bag of gifts, looking and hoping for gold and silver, and let the bad winds escape. The king refuses to help them anymore, so they step in land of Laestrygones. With only few survivors they land on Aeaea, home the goddess, whom is also a witch.
Book 11
"The Land of the Dead" , is about Odysseus being directed by Circe to the "Land of the Dead". He speaks to his mother and inhales knowledge about Penelope, Telemachus, and his father. He finds how his mother actually died, and speaks to others who died. With this information, he becomes scared, so he and his crew set
