The Open Window: Direct Characterization

Authors describe and create characters by choosing different types of methods. For example, to help readers understand the characters traits easier. Author’s use indirect characterization to describe actions and the appearance of a character. Direct characterization states what the character is like. Motivation is how the characters behave the way they do. With this in mind, Vera from, “The Open Window,” can be used as an example for direct characterization.
