The Pagani Supercars
This article is about the Italian automobile manufacturer. For the Italian city with the same name, see Pagani, Campania.Pagani Automobili S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of sports cars and carbon fibre. The company was founded in 1992 by Horacio Pagani, and is based in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena, Italy. Horacio Pagani, who formerly managed Lamborghini's composites, founded Pagani Composite Research in 1988. This new company worked with Lamborghini on numerous projects, including the restyling of the 25th Anniversary Countach, the Lamborghini LM002, the P140 design concept, and the Diablo. In the late 1980s, Pagani began designing his own car, then referred to as the "C8 Project". Pagani planned to rename the C8 the "Fangio F1" to honour his friend, the five-time Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio.
In 1991 Pagani established Modena Design to meet the increasing demand for his design, engineering, and prototyping services. In 1992, he began construction of a Fangio F1 prototype, and by 1993, the car was being tested at the Dallara wind tunnel with positive results. In 1994, Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Pagani with V12 engines. The cost of these cars are at a total of 2.3 million dollars. The final car was named the Zonda C12; the Fangio F1 name was dropped out of respect for Fangio, who died in 1995. It was first presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show.
In 2005, Pagani announced that it planned to triple its production output within the next three years, and to enter the US market in 2007.On 26 July 2010, Pagani claimed a new record for production based cars using the Pagani Zonda R and completing the Nürburgring in 6:47, beating the Ferrari 599XX. While it is an independent company, Pagani has a working relationship with Daimler AG, most notably, with Mercedes' AMG arm. This is partly due to the fact that Fangio had suggested that Pagani approach Mercedes. The Zonda has used increasingly advanced versions of the M120 V12; the

When Infiniti brought out the G35 sport sedan and sport coupe four years ago; it was easy to see who the company was going after. With its powerful six-cylinder engine, rear-wheel drive and finely balanced, sport-tuned chassis, the G35 didn't gingerly dip its toe into the entry-level luxury sport sedan/coupe waters. Rather, it took a flying leap, did a cannonball and splashed cold water all over the BMW 3 Series.…

To prove his point and nail home the idea, Smith utilizes many different achievements of the Bugatti such as it being “the quickest, fastest, most expensive, and most evolved thing on wheels. “ Smith explains how the Veyron was originally a concept car, however after an incredible amount of demand for it, Volkswagen agreed it had to be built. Their goal was to reach new heights with this car, “A top speed above 248 mph. An engine producing more than 1,000 horsepower. A 0-to-62-mph time of less than three seconds, and a chassis that didn’t abuse you like a racing car.”…

Launching the BMW Z3 Roadster January 1996 marked the beginning of Phase II of BMW of North America Inc.'s Z3 roadster introduction. Phase I had centered around the placement of the new $28,750 two-seat convertible in the James Bond hit movie, GoldenEye, which premiered several months earlier. While not yet critically evaluated, results of the "out-of-the-box" pre-launch campaign appeared very positive: word-of-mouth concerning the Z3 and the James Bond cross-promotion were favorable, and product orders far exceeded BMW's initial expectations. The challenge now was to design a marketing program that would sustain product excitement until dealer product availability beginning in March. Phase 11 planning had to be undertaken within the context of other important events in the BMW product family: (1) the April launch of the redesigned 5-Series; and (2) the company's role as "official international automotive sponsor" of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games, which would begin in earnest with the Olympic Torch Relay 5-Series event in June. While these other elements of the BMW product family clearly impacted the Z3, the marketing approach and ultimate results for the Z3 would influence the whole BMW operation in the United States. Dr. Helmut Panke, chairman and CEO of BMW (U.S.) Holding Corp. since 1993, noted that the Z3 was destined to be "the first BMW not made by mythical little creatures in the Bavarian woods. This car will be made in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Some people think BMW means German-made. With the Z3, we must show we can be successful as a global company, manufacturing at strategic locations -- even if not in Bavaria. Assembling of cars in the United States requires BMW to replace `Made in Germany' as a symbol of quality with `Made by BMW'." As Brandweek put it, Panke was "saddled with the task of exporting BMW's mystique from the Bavarian hills to the fields of South Carolina." Industry commentators characterized the Z3 as "the new standard bearer for a…

Mr. Pagani was not very educated in aerodynamics or engineering but yet built a car that is so aerodynamic it has a top speed of 372 km/h and is a great example of engineering the cars name in the Pagani Huayra. The US was the first country to get a Huayra delivered to a customer. But the owner is a Canadian who met Horacio Pagani in Vermont, and then drove it up to Canada. After he had sold the car in the US he had gone to Asia to introduce the Huayra and had left the day before the earthquake had hit that’s a lucky man. Another highlight in Mr. Pagani career is that he was called back by Lamborghini to collaborate in the design of the Lamborghini Diablo Anniversary. Horacio Pagani currently works and lives in San Cesario sul Panaro near Modena, Italy. Horacio Pagani wanted to use carbon fiber in car designs and that was why he quit from Lamborghini because they did not want to use carbon fiber. Horacio uses lines very well in the design of the Pagani Zonda the car has nice straight lines which show that that car is slick and fast and has curved lines on the mirrors which makes the car look very…
