IT and internet have dominated the modern world. From big organizations to small companies, they are all using IT. It is one of the most important fields used in business, administration, education and even the world economy. The use of internet is also one of the most important things used in today 's world. The internet has everything; from access to communication. The internet is a big factor in running a company or an organization.
In this modern world, IT is trying to convert the world 's environment into an eco-friendly environment. The world is trying its best to go green. With the current use of internet and the engagement of this modern world with IT, the birth of the paperless office is now supported everywhere. It is arguably one of the best innovation.
Although a paperless office sounds perfect, it is very difficult to achieve. This report gives the basic and understanding concepts of the paperless office and how its benefits and detriments can affect a working environment.
2. Information Technology and Internet
IT and internet are common words that people hear or see nowadays. They have come to be household phrases now. (Salaam, 2012) They are important to the current living environment and also very much inter-related.
IT is an abbreviation for Information Technology. It is defined as an industry that uses computers, networking, software programming, and other equipment and processes to store, process, receive, transmit and protect information. (Salaam, 2012) In the past, Information Technology was just a mere two-word. It was left to computer scientists and mathematical engineers because of its complicated nature. As time passed and technology advanced, the world is now moving into the information age. (Salaam, 2012)
The internet is an electronic communication network that connects computer networks and organization computer facilities around the world. Organizations use internet to send information to another organization
