Throughout the movie there are many scenes which depict the Nazi’s inhumanity. A great scene to show this is the one in which the Nazi officers force the Jews to dance in the street while they wait to cross the road is a great scene in which viewers are exposed to the Nazi’s inhumane ways.

As you can see from the scene, the facial expressions and the body language of the Jews show discomfort and pain as the Nazi’s humiliate them. The Jews can be seen clutching onto each other, from this we can see they are distressed and try to reach out for support and comfort. The Nazi’s however are standing around smiling and laughing at the Jews humiliation. The Nazi’s laughter is juxtaposed to the silence of the Jews to show the pure dominance and control the Nazi’s possessed.
As the Jews dance and the Nazi’s laugh, viewers can hear music being played, by a group of Jews, in the background. This music is loud, upbeat and cultural which alone would position viewers to feel happy and ‘alive’.
